The Newly Released: TRZZonline’s Fame & Fortune Facebook Game Finally Gives Facebook’s Darling Farmville Some Healthy Competition

Sunday, August 21st, 2011

Calgary, Alberta, Canada (PRWEB) June 11, 2010

TRZZONLINE?S FAME & FORTUNE TRZZonline?s ?Fame & Fortune? is a social game about acquiring super-stardom, with a tongue-in-cheek twist on the entertainment industry, played on Facebook. Players will assume the role of the ?starving artist? as they move to Hollywood to build a career in the music and film industry(s). From living in their car; to waiting tables in restaurants; to ultimately owning a private island? it?s all here!

This fun journey provides the gamers’ ?pretentious-self? with a false sense of security as they climb the ladder of success. It also gives gamers a few ?reality checks? along the way when their friends from their Facebook friends list join in on the fun and compete. Challenging friends to see who is the most popular, or who has the largest entourage, or who owns the largest mansion is what will keep gamers coming back for more, (not to mention, an in-game music player that contains a GREAT playlist of Top 40 music and indie artists? songs that make users want to just leave the browser open all day). Special rewards and perks are unlocked as users become more and more successful, although, if a user becomes too successful, their friends are able to execute antics like creating ?Bad PR? to knock them down a few notches.

This game taps into the budding star within. Players can acquire fame and fortune the old fashioned way by performing gigs that allow them to level-up and make money, or they can get on the fast track with in-game ?ICE? purchases that allow them to quickly upgrade their lifestyle with items that include fancy cars, clothes, beach houses, airplanes, skateboard ramps, pets, paparazzi, security guards, and anything else that a famous socialite can?t live without.

Connected to the Entertainment Industry… While other social game developers are performing the old ?copy/paste? cloning method of games that are already popular on Facebook, TRZZonline is creating something completely new by essentially turning their real-world experience in the music entertainment industry into a game that crosses all demographics.

TRZZonline?s Fame & Fortune Facebook Game has teamed up with Hip Hop Weekly Magazine in an effort to show how merging ?real world? products with gaming concepts can maximize company exposure through in-game involvement. Hip Hop Weekly Magazine is well known throughout the world for covering ?all things happening in urban entertainment?. Inside of TRZZonline?s Fame & Fortune Facebook Game, Hip Hop Weekly Magazine plays the role of the official news reporter, documenting the user’s success as their popularity grows. In the near future, different brands will be featured throughout the game [i.e. Beverages, Fashion, Mobile, Sports, etc].

TRZZonline already has a huge online following from their previous coverage of music industry events such as: P. Diddy?s Annual All White Party (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nh9X0dhKcUs), 50 Cent?s 2009 Vegas New Year?s Bash (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKgW16OOHf4), and BET?s 2009 Hip Hop Awards (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgMiPF30X0E), just to name a few.

?We didn?t want to build another time management game just for the sake of building it. Our team is great at creating games with stellar graphics and amazing game play, but we wanted to do something different?something innovative. We wanted to be one of the first developers to successfully merge online gaming with offline rewards,? said Jon Lam, founder and CEO of TRZZonline/Ph03nix New Media. ?Imagine an online game that gives you a chance to meet one of your favorite rock stars, or attend one of their private events. As users level-up, TRZZonline?s Fame & Fortune rewards them with a variety of real-world elements provided by our friends in the entertainment industry.?

BRAINZ Launches Public Beta of Next-Generation Facebook Game ?Social Street Soccer?

Sunday, August 7th, 2011

Santa Monica, CA (PRWEB) December 15, 2010

BRAINZ, the games division of ZIO Studios, one of Latin America?s leading animation and new media companies, launched today the open beta for Social Street Soccer, a 3D synchronous multi-player game for Facebook. The game allows users to become soccer players, create teams with their friends, and play against other teams in three-on-three matches.

Social Street Soccer brings a fresh and innovative approach to social sports gaming, where users are not drawn by the offer to manage a team of famous players but rather are compelled to play in a team by creating their own personalized avatar using tagged Facebook photos. Users can choose facial textures, weight, height, etc., and select from a broad array of virtual features that include urban hair styles and apparel, specific game skills, and even goal celebrations which can be previewed in full 3D.

“We believe that the dominant trend for 2011 will be social games moving away from the typical 2D asynchronous management experience such as Farmville or FIFA superstars?, said Alejandro Gonzalez, Senior Vicepresident and Studio Director at BRAINZ. He emphasized that ?the next generation of social gaming will involve new game mechanics that provide a 3D synchronous core experience within the social ecosystem. This requires a paradigm shift in things like social context and closure”

This first open beta release includes a baseline game experience for early adopters and Beta testers. The full version scheduled for early 2011 release will also have enhanced social elements such as ladder systems, artificial intelligence, achievements, and micro-payments.

The game relies in Unity3D, a web based 3D engine, and Exit Games’ Photon to handle the synchronous multiplayer services.

Social Street Soccer can be accessed at http://apps.facebook.com/socialstreetsoccer

New Mafia-Style Game Brings Fun, Action and Spice Back into Online, Text-Based Games

Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011

Houston, TX (PRWEB) March 22, 2010

Bored with playing Farmville, Playfish, and other games on Facebook and online outlets? Don’t worry, the developers of a new online, text-based RPG has launched the second server of The OG War.

?This is a role playing mafia game,? said Ernie Magar, a company spokesman for theogwar.com. ?In the game you must choose your path, train your character to be the strongest and highest level you can?

The launching of the game?s second server could prove to have perfect timing.

According to Gamepro, a gaming magazine which tracks the popularity of games and reviews new games entering the market, online gaming via Facebook and other outlets have exploded in the past 24 months with more than 100 million new gamers.

As for The OG War in particular, this is a game that is safe to play from work, Magar said, ?yet easy enough a child over the age of 13 can play.?

He added that purchasing through the game allows users to upgrade their account.

?Upgrades include more bank interest, faster energy regeneration, access to limited parts of the game and special cities to travel to,? said Magar. ?You can also purchase special items to upgrade your account and your bank with giving you the upper hand.?

Those signing up to the second game during the first week will be given an upgrade to their account for 10 days, providing users with a first-hand experience on the benefits of upgrading their account.

Magar stressed that, ?Our staff is almost always online and very friendly to help. We?re always improving the game and making sure it is what our users want. It is a direct clone of the first game but all users will be deleted so everyone is starting fresh and will have an equal opportunity to be in the top ranks.?

Jason Brown, 27, of Houston, who has played games online for years said he likes the new features that will be added to the game.

?It?s always a plus when current games are improved because it gives players like me something to look forward to and get excited about. I?m definitely excited about this game,? Brown said.

Thursday, July 28th, 2011

(PRWEB) June 26, 2011

Online social gaming continues to be popular, and more people are playing Facebook games. Zynga, a popular social gaming company that created Farmville, Mafia Wars, and Cityville, now releases their latest hit game, Empires & Allies(E&A). They let gamers play E&A for free, then offer them add-on products for a fee. This style of business has made Zynga a hot and profitable company. They currently own 40% of the social gaming market, with revenue of $ 544 million last year according to IHS Screen Digest. Their Facebook games have a huge user base, and are very popular in Facebook.

Empires & Allies is a combat strategy game that is adapted for Facebook. It targets a large global audience, and is available in 12 different languages. Currently, Empires & Allies is played by almost all demographics, with 47% males and 53% females. It goes beyond Farmville and Cityville. It blends gameplay from Cityville like managing resources and buildings, with combat elements.

Millions of players have already started playing this game, and it still continues to grow each day. Lots of these players are looking for the best strategies to dominate the game. Some people also don’t have the time to spend hours playing Empires & Allies, so they are searching on how to level up fast.

“Empires & Allies Secrets Guide”, with more information at http://empiresalliessecretsguide.org, has been released, and it has gotten the attention of Facebook gamers. It is created by T Dub, who is also a top gamer and an E&A geek. He first started by helping people in forums by sharing tips on how to maximize energy and how to earn lots of Empire Cash. ?FUNFOOD? Challenges Kids to Become Healthy Food Champs — New iPhone Game App Helps Parents Discuss Eating Habits with Children

Wednesday, July 27th, 2011

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 28, 2011

Millions of parents must be struck by this irony: their children seem to have an insatiable appetite for growing virtual vegetables on the web-based video game Farmville, and yet cannot be induced to touch the real thing at the family table. Well, when you can?t beat ?em, join ?em. A new iPhone application ?FunFood!? slips kids servings of healthy food knowledge in the guise of an entertaining game. Depending on the foods they pick, game players can make a cartoon avatar?s girth balloon out or slim down.

The ?FunFood!? app is being released at a time of rising concern about the health of the American population. Because childhood obesity affects approximately 12.5 million children ages 2 to 19, or 17 percent of the population, according to the Centers for Disease Control, educating kids about good food choices at an early age is critical.

?We know that children need to be coached to make good food choices,? says Stacy Burstin, co-founder and President of SociaLife, the Valencia, CA, company that developed the ?FunFood!” app. ?We designed the game to help parents team up with their kids to make healthy eating part of a playful activity.?

To help parents engage kids in this process, SociaLife?s iPhone application comes with a helpful free tool, the ?FunFood! Curriculum Companion.? Available to buyers of the app, the companion supplies parents with questions and topics to engage their children about food choices in a fun way.

Because games are a part of children?s every day life, SociaLife embraces games as part of a tool to help parents communicate with their kids. ?Through ?MEDertainment? – a process of building play into health – educating your kids becomes a fun and entertaining process for both of you,? says Burstin.

The iPhone app ?FunFood!? costs $ 0.99 and can be downloaded at http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/funfood/id441996352?mt=8

Once consumers buy and download the “FunFood!” app, they can obtain the free “Curriculum Companion” by downloading it to their iPhone or by having it emailed to them. They can also visit SociaLife’s web site for further information.

ATTENTION MEDIA: Reviewers may contact info@esocialife.com for a code to download a review copy of the app.

America 2049: A New Breed of Facebook Game

Monday, July 25th, 2011

Elizabethtown, PA (PRWEB) May 03, 2011

The recently released Facebook game ?America 2049? has captured the attention of TIME, Fast Company, Wired.com, CNET, AOL and thousands of Facebook users. However, this game is no light-hearted Farmville, as it requires users to solve complex problems and make decisions about serious real-world issues today.

The groundbreaking game was created by global human rights organization Breakthrough, in collaboration with Inov?t, a small and mighty digital agency, to create America 2049 which unfolds in an immense 12-week episodic progression. While the Facebook App is the core of the game, Inov?t built numerous micro-sites for organizations represented in the game, forums that unlock with each level, and even a search engine that acts like it is from the future. Content for the massive game is managed by the client through a custom game management system built by Inov?t that controls the the 12 levels of the game and over 500 clues, puzzles and bonuses.

America 2049 is the first Facebook game to integrate the social network with such a wide variety of outside sources. The game, featuring popular T.V. series stars Victor Garber (Alias), Cherry Jones (24), Harold Perrineau (Lost), Anthony Rapp (Rent), and Margaret Cho (Notorious C.H.O.), is also the first Facebook game to utilize celebrities in game play. Combining these famous faces with Inov?t?s creative and technical execution, and the popular social network, ?America 2049? hopes to make issues of race and equality widespread among America?s younger generations.

Commenting on his interest in the project, Harold Perrineau stated, ?You know, a lot of groups, they do great work by talking about the issues, or going places and building houses. But this is something completely different, a way to reach out to so many people.?

While many love kicking back and relaxing with a game like Farmville, learning about humanitarian causes and acting on them is more important. Get involved in the world, as even TIME agrees, ?your farm or vendetta can wait.?

?We?re Related? Integrated in New Facebook Game — Family Village

Friday, July 22nd, 2011

Provo, UT (PRWEB) February 14, 2011

Funium announced today the integration of its forthcoming Facebook game, Family Village, with FamilyLink?s We?re Related on Facebook, a top 300 social application. Still in limited alpha development, Family Village is the first free Facebook-based game to connect and unite real families as players explore their family trees while building an online FarmVille? and CityVille?-like community. FamilyLink?s massive database provides Family Village players with access to billions of online records for a unique family discovery experience of their ancestors and living relatives. These genealogical and family history records contain information such as birth and death dates, birthplaces, and much more, and tie in with game characters providing users with a realistic and deep connection with their relatives.

?Most computer games eventually lose their luster for players who reach some prescribed goal. Even FarmVille average usage is starting to shrink,? stated Jeff Wells, Funium CEO. ?Conversely, Family Village engages players with not only Facebook friends, but living relatives in a quest to discover their ancestors and family history.?

While players have fun building fortune, houses, businesses, immigrating family members, and assigning jobs, Family Village matches inputted data with relevant real-world documents about the users? living and deceased relatives such as census records, newspaper articles, marriage records, and other documents. Players can then examine the records, print them, or store them in their personal game library.
